2015-2016 FiM FTC Equipment/Costs/Grant Information
This season marks FTC's migration to an Android based platform and Java programming environment; the NXT and Samantha module have been retired and teams are using 2 smart phones instead. All teams are experiencing a learning curve this season! Many resources have been provided to help teams with the transition (see Resources doc). The Team Resources page of the FIRST FTC (national) site is loaded with helpful information as well as the Mentor Resources page.
The 2015-2016 FTC season kicked off on Saturday, Sept. 12th, with the game FIRST Res-Q! Note that FTC doesn't have a hard stop to their build season like FRC. Teams can keep working on their robots right up to competition. So, there is still time to start a team (or two) this season!
