Event Registration

The event registration process for this season is available on the FIRST in Michigan FTC site and at this direct link:  Event Registration Process.  The main/alternate contacts for each team will receive the event registration form links via email. Note that teams need to be fully registered for the season to sign up for events. Email michiganftc@gmail.com with questions.  There are two parts to event registration this season:  Home event opt in/opt out and 2nd qualifier registration:

HOME EVENTS
Teams have been pre-assigned to their nearest “home” qualifier based on travel distance parameters.  Please check the MI FTC Team List for this assignment.

The main/alternate contacts for all registered teams will receive a google form on Wednesday, October 8th by 8:00 am (this date has been adjusted) with the choice to “opt in” or “opt out” of the team’s home event.  A choice of “opt in” will confirm that team’s spot at their home event.  A choice of “opt out” will release that team’s spot at their assigned home event.

Teams that “opt out” of their home event can register their preference for an alternative first qualifier event; team will be prompted to register their 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. choice.  Assignment will be made on a first come-first served basis until an event’s capacity is reached.  After home event registration closes, the MI FTC Team List will be updated with each team's home event.

Deadline for the home qualifier registration process is Sunday, October 12th; all unconfirmed home event spots will be released on this date.

2ND QUALIFIER
Participation in a 2nd qualifier is optional.

Teams can register for their second qualifier on October 13, 2013 starting at 8:00am via google form emailed the team’s main/alternate contact.  If the home event process is completed earlier than 10/12/2014, this date could be moved up.  2nd event registration will close on October 20, 2013.

2nd qualifier events are populated on a first come-first served basis until an event’s capacity is reached.  Teams will be prompted to register their 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. choice.  After 2nd qualifier registration closes, the MI FTC Team List will be updated with eachteam's home event.

Teams competing in a 2nd qualifier are eligible for advancement spots.  A team can only win the Inspire Award at one qualifier.  If a team registers for a 2nd qualifier, the team is expected to follow through on this commitment regardless if the team earns an advancement spot at first qualifier.
